SIZE SIZE SIZE! That is what the Wolves need. Big Al needs help. They need to ignore the temptation to go small.
There are plenty of guys with size at the top end of the draft. It appears that Chicago will snap up Derrick Rose with the first pick but they could still go Beasley. Miami with the second pick is saying it might go with O.J. Mayo and pass up Beasley. Pat Riley is just trying to put up a smoke screen. He is trying to put a little intrigue into the draft. He will draft whichever of the top two guys is left. So now Minnesota is up with the third pick. Is there any chance they trade this pick? Doubtful There is not a ton of value at the pick for teams to want to give up enough for it be worth it. Like I said we need size. There can be no O.J. Mayo drafted. I will quit watching the Wolves if they draft him. Sure he is really athletic and a dynamic scorer.
Who do we draft? In no particular order there is Brooke Lopez, Kevin Love, Deandre Jordan and Dario Gallinari. Gallinari is the most intriguing. European players can be such an unknown. He might be the next Dirk Nowitzki. Then again he might be the next Darko. I don't trust Jordan. He didn't show me much in his limited college career. Kevin Love was a dominating player for UCLA in his one season. He dominated in college though. He won't have the strength to bang with the big boys of the NBA. Brook Lopez is our guy. He has some nice post moves and a shooting touch. The thing he will need to work on is the rebounding though. Decent defender. Draft him Wolves, please! |
