That's right you read that correctly. The Minnesota Timberwolves are offering season tickets for the cost of where they are drafting this season. If the Wolves get the first pick in the draft you can get into all of the Wolves home games next season for a mere $43. If you don't trust me well then you'll just have to check it out for yourself. If you do trust me here are a few more thoughts I've got on this promotion...I guess if you don't agree you can read my prattle too... First things first the seats suck. No way around it. They are behind the basket in the upper-deck. Really I couldn't see paying anything more then $215 a season for these crappy tickets. Which seems to be the most they'll charge you for the seats. Doesn't that seem like a screw job? If the Wolves get the top pick you pay less then if they get a crappier pick. If the Wolves land Michael Beasley I play $43 for the entire year. If they land O.J. "I should've stayed in college/GM Killer" Mayo I pay $215. That's some seriously weak sauce. I get the excitement around it and all but why not say if the Wolves pick in the top five its $43 for these crap-ass season tickets. Otherwise I think the Wolves should follow the Twins lead and hang a freaking curtain over these seats. If you ask to buy one of these tickets they should give you complimentary floor seats, because you obviously care more about the Wolves then the lame-ass suits sitting in the front row. I mean I'm not flush with tons of cash but these are some pretty bad seats, and for twice as much you get 10 times the seat. It probably some-how speaks to the fact that the economy sucks right now and tickets to pro-sporting events are too high. Think about it how can a working-class person afford to goto a game, let alone take their kids or family to a game. This $43 season ticket deal sadly isn't the answer. Maybe I'll buy two seats, go to like five games all year long and give the other 37 game tickets away via the blog or something like that. I'll have to think about it a little bit.
