High School Hockey Memories

Another year of Minnesota High School Hockey is coming to a close. The draw and appeal for thousands of Minnesotans is still quite evident. For me t enthisasm and reverence I once had for it has dampened these last few years. Save for the year Cretin Derham-Hall(my alma mater) won the AA championship, I have hardly watched at all. When I was younger I held the tournament up to such a high standard. At the time there was no professional hockey team in Minnesota. Being able to watch these seemingly giants of the game playing just a couple miles from my house amazed me.

Wolves Draft Dreaming Part 1

    I've been watching a lot of hockey (specifically the state tournaments) lately and for some reason that makes me think about the NBA draft.  The Timberwolves picked up their third road victory of the year last night. I don't think they can be  blamed for tanking, at least not quite yet.  With the NBA season winding down its time to start dreaming about the draft...

Delmon Young, Too Young?

I was pretty excited when Delmon Young was traded to the Minnesota Twins. To name a few things that should make anyone excited about the trade, his strong arm in right, potential for some over-due offense for the Twins, and his youth. Though it's his youth that also has me worried.
