I, like many Twins fans, did a double take when reading the WCCO headline about Joe signing for 10 years, but it sounds a little premature.  From what I’ve read, a deal may be in place with details being ironed out as we speak. Though, I am of the school of thought that the Twins can’t afford not to sign Mauer.  It’s a question not of “if,” but “when.”
