Here is my list of what the Vikings need to win today.
- Brett needs to be let loose.
- We need to not focus on establishing anything but a lead
- The defense needs to play its game and not worry about the Saints game
- We need to look over the tape from last season because we won that game due to our solid play on defense and offense despite our suspect special teams play in that game
- Let Kluwe just kick the ball
- Remember where Shaper is on the field
- Make the freaking Saints worry about us, we’ve got the much better defense
- Bring extra pressure from the second level, with Kevin Williams and Ray Edwards injured we need to bring blitzers from time to time just to keep their offensive line second-guessing
- If Winfield can play he needs to be on the field the entire game, but so does Sapp. We are going to need a nickel-back on the field the whole game.
- Peterson needs to be an animal, and not lose the ball
- Turn-overs are going to decide this game, who ever wins this battle wins the game
- Time of possession won’t matter, it didn’t last week and it doesn’t usually when you have such amazing quick-strike offenses
- If Chili opens the offense up then the Vikes have a chance, if he doesn’t well then its going to be Saints sponsored smack-down
- Percy is going to play and going to be fine
- Both team’s have injuries that pretty much wash each other out.
