Just got home and took a look where the Wolves will be drafting this year. I am happy with third pick. At least we didn’t lose anything.
So we pick third. Obviously Beasley and Rose will be gone. Oh well. Where do we go from there? My pick without a doubt is Brook Lopez. We need size and he provides the best size available. He is a down and dirty player who scraps but also has a solid post game. He can allow Big Al to slide back to power forward and then Brewer/Gomes(if he is around) to slide back to the 3. Now the problem is that we still don’t have great options at the point. Bassy is good and maybe he can develop into something more. Foye is too fragile to be a front line starter. The one good thing is that we can put McCants as a sixth man. He is not a great defender and is a liability there. Having him come off the bench to provide a nice scroing punch is the way to go. That is what he is built for I think.
